Bobby Parrow
HE’S DONE IT ALL IN SHORT TRACK RACING
Bobby Parrow is one of the more experienced drivers in the Land of Legends Raceway pit area at 55 years of age. The Waterloo, NY native didn’t wait too long into the 2024 season to get his first win in the Mightea Boba 305 Sprints, which came during the Land of Legends 71st season opener on May 4th. Bobby has driven 410 Sprints, 360 Sprints and Modifieds.
His career started in 1980 in Go Karts, where he raced locally at the Paradise Speedway and also gained the WFA National Championship in 1985, traveling up and down the East Coast. He competed in 410 Sprints from 1985 to 1990, running weekly in Pennsylvania at Williams Grove, Selinsgrove and Susquehanna. Bobby would enjoy two feature wins in the 410 ranks which came in 1988. Following the 1990 season, Parrow would stop going to Pennsylvania and begin running 360 Sprints for the next ten years. Bobby had 34 total wins in a 360, 21 of them being Empire Super Sprint “A” main victories and in 2018, gained entrance into the Empire Super Sprint Hall of Fame.
After the 1999 season, Parrow stepped away for a few years, but did return in 2004 aboard a 358 modified. Parrow would find victory lane there as well, winning twice. In 2019, Parrow came back to Sprint car racing, beginning his current stint with the Mightea Boba 305 Sprints. Last season, Bob was second in Mightea Boba 305 Sprint points, his best. In 2019, he was third in points and has ten victories in the class. He nearly had a CRSA Sprint victory earlier this season, but just fell short from race winner Matt Rotz. Parrow had made the pass for the lead with just a lap remaining, however a caution would relegate him back to the runner up position and allow Rotz to claim his first ever 305 win at LoLR. Parrow plans on running a handful of events with CRSA this season.
